Do you believe in Reincarnation?

Day 2 at work

It’s been going well so far. Woke up at 7.30am in the morning went out to the balcony to smoke with just my shorts, and I must say it was a bad idea after all. The morning weather was so chilling that I was shivering while smoking.

Had many fruitful small talks with one of my colleague, we was talking about reincarnation and stuff because I mentioned to him about my De Ja Vu years ago when I first step in NITRKL and he introduce me to an author named: Dr. Brian Weiss who wrote “Many lives many masters. Haven’t read it yet, but the title just fascinate me. Dr. Brian Weiss once said: “People are here long time ago, sometimes you feel that you been here before, sometimes you feel that this feeling was familiar, sometimes you feel that this wasn’t your first time here, that’s what people called: De Ja Vu. You have been here a thousand years ago, or even more.”

This been here a thousand years ago sounds like what a thai monk use to tell us in “The secret of life” class many years ago.

“In dreams, sometime we came to a place where we never been before, that’s because this are your past memories, you have been there.”

From reincarnation to Public holidays to how people works.

“In India, there’s many holidays.”

“Yes, but slowly people are removing it, matlab they still comes to work, let’s take this as an example, the nature, we are all from the nature, we all comes from it, without it, we can’t survive many decades ago, we won’t even be here. You see, there’s no holidays for plants or you can say that plants are always on holiday, you won’t see a lion doesn’t hunt just because it’s a Sunday, you won’t see the bird stop flying because it’s a holiday, the plant doesn’t stop giving oxygen just because it’s a Sunday. We humans, have became so custom to our lives that we forgotten we are no different from the nature process.”

“If you have the passion for your work, even it’s a Sunday, you will still be in the office.”

“What were you doing before you join CG?”

“I was working in the forest.”

We both laughed

“I was in the forest, saving the tigers.”

“That’s tough isn’t it? Matlab, you have disconnect yourself from the world, living a life which no ones want because they wouldn’t want to leave their comfort zone, leaving behind the internet world, family, carefree live.”

“You see, we are so depend on Internet nowadays, it’s like we will all die if Internet is not there for us anymore, that’s the current generation now, people are so into the internet, the busy life, that they forget the basic.”

“Haan be, I always tell my friend and also remind myself, use the internet, don’t let the internet use you, mera dost.”

“Yes, because we once comes from zero, we had nothing, we were fine, and we will.”

“I always respect the Indian from India, I mean you guys study at a far away place, then you graduate, then you work else where far away from your family, but how Singaporean will understand all this? Matlab, no matter how far we work, we are still back home within a day, not to even mention having a road trip, how far can you drive in Singapore? No matter how far you go, you are still in Singapore.”

“It’s a usual thing for us here, I mean, see, we go away from our parents from what age? 15? 16? then we start to be independent, we have to, because mummy and papa is not around with us, and they can’t, so we have to be. No matter how hard it is for parents to not want us to be away from them, but work wise, we have to and they have no choice.”

“Yea, but in Singapore, maybe not just Singapore, it’s everywhere, where parents doesn’t want their child to leave them. But in Singapore such a small country, the state is the city, the country is the state, the state is the country, parents will want you to be with them always.”

“Haan”

“I just feel that they are just too comfort over there, they are so protected by the country that they forget how to survive. Walk, go, travel, out of the country, don’t just stay there, there’s alot of things waiting for you to learn, you see, people are always staying at the same place and not travel out,so they feel that: “Oh, we are all safe here, we have enough to eat, wear, play, we don’t need to go out, just here.” But, I said this many years ago, you don’t increase culture quotient just because you read some culture article online, you don’t increase religion tolerance just because you came across a religious post, you don’t tell others: “Oh I know India” but in fact you only read them on the internet, reading and travelling to the place to understand it, there is a difference.”
